Friday's Feast One Hundred and Seventeen

Appetizer

Create a new candle scent.
My new candle scent would be called "Grandma's Apron". If I close my eyes I can remember the smell of her hugs; like clean laundry fresh off the clothesline on a crisp spring day. It's a comfort thing.

Soup
Name one way you show affection to others.
I'm a hugger at heart. I can't help it.

Salad
What is your favorite writing instrument?
A regular old #2 pencil works well for me...the kind with a nice orange eraser on the end. Pencils are very forgiving of my mistakes. That's a good thing!

Main Course
If you were given $25 to spend anywhere online, from which site would you buy?
I'd head on over to Village Records for some new tunes.
That was easy!

Dessert
Are you dressing up for Halloween? If so, what are you going to be?
Nope - that's not me. I leave the Halloween duty for Willi since he enjoys it so much. It's a lot more fun to watch him with the kids. Me and the dog hang back and keep the treats a comin'.

Create a new candle scent..licorice, YUM!

Name one way you show affection to others. I touch people on the arm when I am speaking honestly..and I am a hugger too..which makes it hard in my job as a nurse because you have to be careful what you do you know what I mean?

What is your favorite writing instrument?
My finger in the sand at the beach..I could write forever in sand :)

If you were given $25 to spend anywhere online, from which site would you buy?

I would put it towards one of these rose milk baths here up in the gorgeous area of Dayelsford, an hour drive from here.

My kids are all going to be trick or treating and we are having a halloween party at my mum's place with her grandchildren (she is liek a mum, yet not my real mum).
I will be cat woman next year, I will be able to wear a slinky leotard and a nice cat tail :)

I'm a natural hugger too. Hoop's more of a handshake kind of person. It made for an awkward first date lol.

Your picture looks like a Methodist potluck or better yet a Methodist Church Family Picnic. Yum.

Halloween - I usually wear all black and some scary jewelry, which might consist of a spider necklace and skeleton earrings. Now, this is not a costume per se as we are not to wear costumes to school. But if this was a costume, I would be a witch. On the other hand, I sometimes tell my students that I am a mean old witch.

Cazzie, you do love that licorice!

As I read comments by Cazzie, Her Indoors, Graymama and Tink I wonder what the world would be like if all of us huggers were the "Deciders". Food for thought during this Friday's Feast.

MJD! That's probably because this is a Methodist Church Family Picnic...but then again you knew that! Which bowl is yours?!! Oh, and I know you are not a mean old witch!

Songbird, I knew you would appreciate "Grandma's Apron"!

Very nice feast. I like your blog!

Oh, we are the deciders. We vote. And we educate the next generation.

Church Family Picnic brings pleasant memories of summer; now that was a feast. I think that we brought pie, one zucchini pie and one cranberry pie.
